Moray Cottages are situated less than 2 miles from Dufftown,
‘the Whisky Capital of the World’,
and is on the world’s only Whisky Trail.
With seven distilleries, including the famous Glenfiddich distillery, within walking distance of the town,
it’s a whisky lover’s paradise.
There are many more distilleries only slightly further afield
and many of them are open to the public and offer tours and tastings.

Dufftown also hosts two whisky festivals every year.
These attract many visitors who come to visit distilleries that do not normally open to the public :

Speyside Cooperage is only a 10 minute drive from Moray Cottages,
where you can witness the traditional craft of barrel-making.
They also offer tours, a visitor centre, cafe and shop.
