Cities & Towns
Whether you are looking for history, architecture
or to simply sample some of Scotland’s city street bustle and shops,
Aberdeen and Inverness are both within easy reach of Moray Cottages.
They have plenty of places to eat and shop as well as
impressive historic buildings.
Elgin, although not as large as Aberdeen and Inverness,
has a wide variety of eating and drinking establishments, many small shops to browse in
and some equally impressive landmarks and historic monuments,
such as the remains of Elgin Cathedral.
Nearer to Moray Cottages, Dufftown itself, which is less than a 2 mile drive
or a stroll around the hill,
has a host of amenities and attractions.
There are many local walks, pubs, restaurants, small supermarkets,
Balvenie Castle and of course
seven distilleries, including the famous Glenfiddich distillery.
