Cottage Dogs

pets welcome

As doggy people ourselves, we fully understand that your holiday is often just as much of a treat for your dog as it is for you!

However, as we know only too well, it's not always easy to find a the right place.

So we have tried to make our cottages as pet friendly as possible, with the sort of features we used to look for when holidaying with our dog.

The Key Point is:- The Gardens are fully enclosed! If your dog only has a small garden at home, they will love our gardens.

large garden Very energetic dogs will particularly appreciate the garden in Stable cottage which has a very steep bank half way down the lawn..... a few throws of the ball to the bottom half of the garden will make even a fit collie start to pant!

While you can walk from the cottages, provided that there are no cattle or sheep in the neighbouring fields, most guests prefer to put the dogs in the car and go out for the day, taking advantage of some of the great walking in the forests, moorland and hills or the fantastic beaches on the Moray Coast. In each cottage we provide details of some good dog walking.

While we have never yet had a dog write on the wall in Biro!! (that's one reason we no longer take children under 10), we have had a couple of occasions where our hospitality has been "misunderstood" and so we have some simple Do's and Don'ts for pet owners.

You can download a copy of our "Doggy Rules" or if you'd like to have a chat before booking to clarify any points, please don't hesitate to contact us.

If you decide to make a booking, and you're bringing pets, please use the "Additional Information" box to tell us the number and breed of dogs you are planning to bring.

Please note that pets are welcome by arrangement, BUT we do reserve the right to decline bookings in certain circumstances.

Now that's what you call a comfortable dog! ...
